Description

Icpa Xicaine Local Anesthetic 30ml Local anesthetics temporarily inhibit nerve conduction when administered to a specific area of the body. They attach to sodium channels in the nerve membrane, blocking sodium ion entry during the membrane's depolarization process. The addition of a vasoconstrictor such as Adrenaline can significantly extend the duration of the anesthetic by reducing blood flow around the injection site. This reduction may lower the peak plasma concentration of the local anesthetic and minimize the likelihood of adverse systemic reactions.

INDICATION:

For use in infiltration or nerve block injections.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Xicaine should not be used in individuals who have a known hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics or in cases where a vasoconstrictor is contraindicated. Adrenaline is also contraindicated in those with arterial hypertension, coronary artery disease, or valvular heart conditions.
